Who Killed Lollie Winans and Julie Williams?

 

Lollie Winans and Julie Williams were murdered in May 1996 in the Shenandoah National Park. Lollie and Julie pitched their tent in a beautiful and remote location close to the river. They were brutally murdered, and their bodies were discovered in their sleeping bags. Their tent had been slashed open and there was some unusual crime scene behaviour as well as paraphernalia left at the crime scene. Their beloved dog, Taj, was also missing.

In this series, Laura talks with investigative journalist Kathryn Miles who wrote the book Trailed: One Woman's Quest To Solve The Shenandoah Murders. which features Laura's analysis of the case and profile of the killer.
Laura starts with victimology and crime scene including questions about whether Lollie and Julie being stalked? When were they killed? How many other murders of lone women had occurred in the park. How many had occurred in Virginia? Was this a serial killer?
