This is an extremely important podcast - Laura you speak my language! As a Social Worker of 35 years (now retired) I worked with so many women who were victims of domestic violence and coercive control, in its myriad forms. Very few people, let alone Social Workers, Psychologists, Child Protection workers, Police, Doctors, understood domestic violence: both what is behind it and the impacts it has. Nor has there been the true understanding of trauma informed practice and my concern is that it remains a 'buzz word' and not underpinning good practice.

I am beyond appalled and horrified by what Tina has been through, as well as the impact on her sons and other family members and all who love and care about her.
