Much love from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
Thankyou for an amazing year of high high quality, honest and compassionate reporting! Very much trust you all when listening to every episode. All three of you model these qualities. Laura, bless you for your rundown of Megan and Harry.., agree with every comment. So sad that people cannot accept them for their commitment of making a positive difference and lending their time and energy to just causes. Canada thanks them for sharing their love story and their genuine love of all people. Merry Christmas 🎄

Seeing clearer
As a victim of emotional domestic abuse, Laura has awakened questioning my perspective on why, early on, I accepted certain behaviors or looked the other way because “who would believe me?” I would like Laura to examine the US family court system and how to begin to change narrative of devastating custody battles, outrageous emotional and financial tolls on victims and perpetrators ( more money )win. Thank you Laura for validating and encouraging us to reject the popular narratives and speak up.

Grateful for Laura’s tireless work for women and children
Laura Richards is my hero. Thank you for your work. You are changing the lives of women and men worldwide and inspiring us all to face misogyny and violence against women and children. No one who listens can remain silent and inactive. Please let us know how we can help you continue your work and what we can do ourselves to further the cause of keeping women and children safe. Thank you again and again.

An insightful and worthwhile show
While the content is not always easy to listen to because of the horrific things that are done to women it is important that these stories are told to stop the cycle. I am humbled by the brave women and children out there who speak out. I highly recommend this podcast.

Thank you for giving me my mantra
Sometimes when I’m doing yoga and the instructor tells us to think of a mantra to carry us off our mats and through the day, I think ‘be curious, ask questions, and always trust your instincts.’ So thank you, Crime Analyst, not just for giving me my daily mantra but also for challenging me to think more critically about true crime and violence against women. You’re amazing and what you’re doing is so important.

A must listen
This podcast makes me want to change laws. Every law enforcement organization should have the DASH training and checklist. And I want coercive control laws in CA. Women’s lives matter and male violence is an issue. Thank you Laura!

Laura rules
No one understands violence against women better than Laura. So thankful for the work she does and she’s truly making the world safer for us. Xoxo

LOVE this educational and enlightening podcast.
One of the podcasts I anxiously wait to see pop into my feed!

I love Laura
She is the advocate all women need.

Love this show!
I absolutely enjoy this show. Laura is so informative and passionate. I love learning about how she breaks down the crime and behaviors to warn us of potential red flags. I would highly recommend this podcast!! Thank you for what you do to help others!
I believe this is one of the most important podcasts that’s on the “ top ten “ lists today.

The only crime-related podcast you need to listen to.
I’m don’t listen to or watch “True Crime” podcasts or shows. I don’t find entertainment in glamourising or sensationalising the men who commit serious violent acts on women - including extreme psychological abuse. Laura Richards has razor sharp focus on the victims and their relatives as well as educating listeners about the predictable patterns of abuse they suffer. She does this through indefatigable forensic dissection of cases. Her professional background in this area shines through and sets her apart. As an aside, she is a brilliant role model for girls - and women who haven’t had a strong, intelligent and empathic role model in their lives. Why she’s not winning awards left right and centre is beyond me. Mind you, what use is an award when you’ve actually been involved in changing laws to protect women, across the world!

Amazing Lady!
Hi Laura, l love your podcasts and the wonderful work you do. l have a request though. You talk a lot about how things are angry-making. Having experienced a lot of abuse throughout my life, l have found that anger is not a helpful or healthy emotion to my recovery. In fact, l’ve had lots of CPTSD therapy for that exact reason: being stuck in rage. Therefore l have to say that every time you say something is angry-making, l find it triggering. It interferes with my ability to process the content. l don’t think your audience needs you to prompt us how to feel. l’m sure most of us have plenty of feelings of our own, which we each need to manage in our own way. Trigger warnings are good, but it’s enough to just give us a generic trigger warning, without telling us how something is going to make us feel. Thank you for taking this into consideration.

Must Listen.
Laura is an incredibly well educated, intellectual with extensive background in criminology. Laura’s knowledge helps provide another perspective, which the “untrained eye” would never consider. Thank you, Laura!

Thoughtfully presented
Did the officer TRULY call his supervisor? Laura challenges listeners to think differently. Can’t wait for the day when suspected domestic violence triggers police required to call outside coercive control expert. Folks, I hIghly recommended listen.

I learn with every episode!
Laura is amazing! Her knowledge & frankness is mesmerizing. I look forward to a new episode & gaining more knowledge. As a DV survivor, I truly thank her for the insights & her fight to help the victims.

Expert, in-depth, highly informative analysis of crime cases
Listeners are extremely fortunate to have Laura Richards, an world- renowned expert in behavioral profiling, a former member of Scotland Yard, FBI consultant, and an expert in threat assessment/ analysis for coercive control, stalking, domestic violence and homicide, providing free crime analysis and information through this podcast. Her episodes are fascinating and extremely instructive. As a woman and mother, I have learned so much regarding red flag behaviors in partners and potential partners. I have passed this along and used it to educate my teenage daughter. She is already putting it into practice with some not great potential dates. We now have a framework that we can easily use to talk about these matters. I think every single woman would benefit from listening g to Laura.

Episode re Cosby
I just listened to the Bill Cosby episode. I am so grateful for Laura and her guest shining a light on what our culture doesn’t want to see. Thank you!

Healing through listening!
Dear Laura. Thank you for helping me heal through your words! Your work towards positive changes in law enforcement insight to help save lives. I recommend this podcast to everyone.
RHAP Podcasters recommended Crime Analyst as they summarized a Gabby Petito documentary on Peacock. I have been so distraught the last few weeks listening to Laura. She is so knowledgeable and I have learned so much. Thank you Laura for all you have done for domestic violence and cohersive control. You are a voice for all who don't have one or haven't found yet. Bless you

Powerful Voice for Survivors and Professionals
Laura manages to break coercive control down in ways that are beyond useful for professionals in law enforcement, survivors and anyone who knows a survivor (so pretty much everyone). She’s clear, engaging, compassionate and fascinating in her work. This podcast has been a valuable resource for me in many ways but especially in having a referral point for those who don’t understand what I lived through. Thank you, Laura, for all that you do. Amazing work!
I love @CrimeAnalyst because Laura Richards is the only professional who has guided me as to why I received absolutely no help from police when my ex husband destroyed me and tried to kill me. She validated my experience with #coercivecontrol , thank you Laura‼️ Her process of validating and breaking down the "bro-behavior", misogyny and manipulation the coercive controller uses to mis direct and lie about his pawn and victim is brilliantly accurate. Gaslighting is the tool he uses most often to lie and deceive others. Most people on the outside looking in will not see it unless they are trained in spotting coercive control because it is psychological, different than using only violent words, punching and gossip. Until I learned about coercive control I could not figure out the abuse because it's different. The stronger and more successful I was, the worse it got. Everyone needs to learn about this narcissistic behavior. Thank you again!

I’m hooked
After listening to episode 100 on the Gabby Petito case, I’m hooked. I’ll be going back to listen to all episodes on this case and then, I’m sure, keep listening. Great work on analysis of what we know mixed w/ instinct to create a plausible timeline. One thought, I think Gabby might have told Brian she wanted to break up with him and that’s what pushed him over the edge to kill her. As we know, the most dangerous time to leave. I gave a speech recently on identifying the dominant aggressor and used this case to show what can happen when police get it wrong. I listened to the body cam videos. I’m trying to remember exactly one part. A female officer was alone with Gabby and said something to her about Brian - not complimentary - and Gabby told her she “might need to make a change.” Which seems to hint that she was realizing there was trouble in her paradise. I can look through my notes if you want more on this. We desperately need a risk assessment tool to help police and others identify the dominant aggressor. I’m involved in a research project to do just that. Also, I understand why DV advocates are hesitant to jump in with making coercive control a federal offense. Look at what happened with the mandatory arrest laws. Reach out if you want to discuss. I’m a survivor. (I made a film, No Ordinary Love, to raise awareness. Streaming on AmazonPrime & others). Thank you for the work you are doing. Without awareness, we’ll never get this addressed correctly and keep women safe in their homes.

Invaluable information
This podcast should be required listening for us all. Whether you’re a police officer or a parent or a partner you’ll get something out of the painstaking breakdown and analysis. I rarely write reviews but hope this one helps elevate this podcast up the charts. Crime Analyst will save lives if the information it contains becomes mainstream. Thank you, Ms Laura, for your tireless advocacy.

Laura does incredible work
Laura does incredible work for victims and survivors. I so appreciate her work to not only educate the general public in a way that is accessible, but also to create real change. I love Crime Analyst and as a survivor myself, am so appreciative of Laura’s work and her fierce advocacy for victims/survivors.

Superb listening.
I have been listening to true crime pods for over ten years. This is (my a long shot) the best I have ever listened too.

Thanks
Congratulations on your 100th episode. I have learned so much from you. And from Real Crime Profile.
Laura has a brilliant, empathetic and highly intelligent mind. These analytical podcasts are a real deep dive into all forms of domestic terrorism and coercive behaviour. But most importantly the victims are always first and foremost in every one of Laura's cases. An absolute MUST listen for everyone.

Great perspective…
But the audio clips are getting WAY too long. If 80% of the episode is audio clips, LONG way too long clips (7:30 at the beginning of the most recent, one of two extremely long clips) and 5-8% is advertisement…. Not enough analysis, way too many, way too long, audio clips. Feels a bit like content padding alongside spread too thin.

Love Laura
Laura does a great job of explaining and defining actions and words so that we can all learn (especially me-share with my husband retired law enforcement).
