Super interesting!
I just stay waiting for the next episodes for interesting analysis!

A breath of fresh air in a sensationalised genre
I only recently found this podcast, but I was instantly struck by how it’s a much-needed standout in the true crime genre. The Crime Analyst approaches every case with not only expertise but great care - especially for the victims. In a world where so many true crime podcasts focus on the lurid or sensationalised details, with no regard for facts or the people involved, TCA is a must listen.

So much respect!
I have so much respect for the work you do and your efforts to educate about coercive control and other abuse issues. This podcast is truly terrific for the educational AND entertainment values.

Obsessed with this podcast
Everyone should listen to this podcast and learn about domestic abuse and how to identity warning signs. I personally am learning new things with every episode and am impatiently waiting for the next one to come out. Thank you Laura for the valuable insights and lessons!

Inspired and insightful
As a survivor of domestic violence, I came to the podcast without a taste for crime stories as much as a need to broaden my understanding of coercive control. Laura’s extensive expertise gives a clear perspective into the complex nuances of intimate partner violence. Her podcast helps articulate the subtle behaviors often missed and undervalued by the justice system. Crime analysis is delightfully well storied, and profoundly insightful. Laura’s thoughtful and compassionate approach has been like salve to weeping wounds of invalidation.
This is without a doubt one of the best podcasts out there. Laura is the most insightful host and it is so refreshing to listen to crime podcasts where the victims are at the centre of the dialogue. I have just finished a degree in criminology and was unsure what career path to pursue however after many weeks of listening to Crime Analyst, I have made it my goal to become just like Laura. I find the episodes which cover coercive control and violence against women particularly interesting as these are areas which other true crime media outlets do not always go into. Would recommend to everyone!

A Real Life Superhero
Laura I can’t put into words how lucky we are you came to America. Your experience and drive to put forth the right education, feelings and thoughts for everyone to see is exactly what we need today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring about not just women, but humans, truth, justice and educating people on what is right. Crime Analyst is by far the best educational binge to date.

100% worth your time
Each episode I’ve listened to so far is an insightful deep dive into a specific case of domestic abuse and/or coercive control, subjects on which Ms. Richards is a professional expert (and it shows!). She offers a framework for understanding misogyny and how it impacts how we view and often blame victims of abuse/crimes, and she asks her listeners rhetorical questions at just the right moment to challenge how we might’ve internalized those ideas and can begin to reshape our thoughts and hold the right people accountable.

Excellent education
I just can’t get enough of Laura’s insight and experience. Watching crime reports and documentaries make so much more sense. It’s easier to spot biases and framing. Her passion for being the voice of survivors and victims is inspiring. I’ll take as much content as she can create!
I've been a big fan of Laura Richards for a long time now. Since listening to her show and her expertise, I believe I have grown in values , boundaries and my safety. Her knowledge she shares with her listeners is realistic and very informative. It was made me very aware of abuse and control. And watching out for red flags.

Great Podcast
Love listening to Laura’s expert opinion! So thought provoking!

100% worth your time
Each episode I’ve listened to so far is an insightful deep dive into a specific case of domestic abuse and/or coercive control, subjects on which Ms. Richardson is a professional expert (and it shows!). She offers a framework for understanding misogyny and how it impacts how we view and often blame victims of abuse/crimes, and she asks her listeners rhetorical questions at just the right moment to challenge how we might’ve internalized those ideas and can begin to reshape our thoughts and hold the right people accountable.

Excellent
Laura Richards is the real deal. Her insight, experience and passion are hard to match.

Interesting, insightful and educational
This podcast has challenged me to look at some of my sacred cows. Sometimes the ideas presented have made me uncomfortable which usually is the indication a deeper look is warranted. I appreciate the expertise of Laura and her guests, the victim based lens she has helped me acquire and the additional resources provided for further exploration. If you listen and are unhappy with her view explore that with an open mind…a little squirm can lead to some learn.

Great coverage
Wonderful depp case coverage - looking forward to checking out more eps!

Heard/Depp
In all due respect…having been a long standing fan of all of your opinions. I love your insight and podcast. I follow anything I can find of your expertise. In this case, I think AH is a liar and the jury made their opinion based on AH’s poor demonstrations on the stand. I also didn’t see her as a victim. On the UK case - JD was suing the Sun and not AH. JD did not testify- so the decision was based on AH performance. I believe AH has issues, I believe Dr Curry. In this specific case, AH has done more to damage true victims coming forward. All this to say I have never been a JD fan…..whether AH had a poor representation with poor legal team…is open for discussion- AH lost this case on her testimony. Period. We must also admit that men can be a victim too.

Changing the linguistics of crime
Listening to Ms. Richards analysis of criminal behaviour is like being given a key into a secret chamber you didn’t know existed. The guests are well chosen and the subject matter is meaningful and handled with grace and honour. Her voice is modulated and firm, and there’s kindness and compassion for victims and families. She pushes through difficult material and relays it to listeners. The deep and thoughtful process of how Richard’s mind processes data is remarkable. She also reminds us all to trust our gut instinct and explains the biology of the sensory system in our body and why we should pay attention to it. She uses the platform to change the linguistics of crime. Richards is talking about the prevalence of violent crime toward women. And she also works for the greater good regarding law in the U.K. and other countries. She is tireless it seems. Jane Austen wrote this over 200 years ago…“Men have had every advantage of us in telling their own story. Education has been theirs in so much higher a degree; the pen has been in their hands.” Anne Elliott in Persuasion. It’s time for women hold the pen to tell the story and Richards is definitely making this happen.

Excellent!
Very thoughtful, insightful & interesting! 10/10 would recommend!

A class by itself
I have learned so much from Laura and this podcast! Her thorough analysis and commentary goes deep into the minds of the criminals and she dissects all aspects of the crime. I am a mh therapist and her work helps me in my work daily. Thank you Dr Richards!

Eye opening & binge worthy
I don't know why I waited so long to listen to Crime Analyst as a long time fan of RCP, but I couldn't stop once I started. Laura gives her perspective on crime like no other, focusing on victims & giving real life crime prevention suggestions. Highly recommended for true crime fans. Thank you Laura for being a truth teller!

Finally - A true professional
I thoroughly enjoy Laura’s insight and analysis of true crime. Domestic violence hits very close to home for many and it’s wonderful to hear the validation for victims and how to properly identify warning signs. As men, we have a responsibility of protecting the women in our life and learning signs of “hidden violence” in others lives. Thank you, Laura. I have learned so much from you.

For many years I’ve said women are raised to be polite—I was awed when I heard her say it as well. I was a long time listener to the podcast Richard’s does with Jim Clemente, Real Crime Profile. I tweeted once wishing she had her own podcast because it would be excellent. I guess it’s worked out and it is even better than I expected. Better because she created the platform to change the linguistics of crime. Richards is talking about the prevalence of violent crime toward women. outstanding insightful and forward thinking
I cannot express enough thanks and appreciation for Laura and her work here. It’s revolutionary, hopeful and really important work. If you want to understand how we might undo the toxic traits of masculinity, in and for both men, women, and non binary people, please give a listen to this podcast. It is so much more that a true crime series, it’s a difficult and honest look at where we are with violence and where we need to be heading to prevent it.

So much insight into investigations
This is a revelation in true crime podcasts. Listeners, if you think you have already learned how victims, police, criminals, surviving family and friends work, listen to Laura for a new understanding. If you like detailed thoroughness in crime analysis from someone who knows, this is for you.

Stunning
Captivating and empowering. A stunning piece of work by Laura (and team)

Love this podcast
Laura is so thorough, thoughtful and compassionate.

Superb Analysis Case by Case I’m Hooked
The case analysis is methodical and well researched. Laura Richards asks the questions, the important questions that need asking. Her guests are wonderful additions to each case understanding details and context. You walk away feeling informed. Thank you for what you do and many thanks for sharing! I can’t stop listening excellent podcast!

Second to None
This podcast will save lives. Laura’s professionalism and experience alongside her concise delivery and soothing cadence allows easy listening for difficult subjects. She does not sensationalize or hypothesize beyond reasonable conclusions. It is obvious she is compelled to produce this information as an artist is compelled to create art. Anyone who read the book The Gift of Fear will find this podcast a masterclass to build upon techniques for self-protection. Thank you, Laura.
Insightful, honest, compassionate, intelligent, experienced, provoking, educational… am I missing anything? Analytical, considered, topical, important, revelatory, wise! I could probably go on forever more. This podcast and it’s creators of course the spectacular Laura Richards! Have accomplished something really special. I couldn’t tell you all I’ve learned. Such a fountain of knowledge 🤩. Thank you, always. As a woman and a mother of girls and boy, I am well-armed because of you 🥰

Thank you Laura!
I’ve posted before, but I want to say again that I so appreciate Laura’s expertise, and her willingness to say the words ‘male violence.’ Try looking up the term even on the FBI website and you’ll find nothing. Use these words and people will immediately point out, ‘Well, women are violent too.’ ‘Men kill other men.’ Of course this is true, but the stats are clear. Women are targeted because of their sex, and that’s a truth that must be recognized.
