Crime Analysts
Excellent Podcast

Missing link in BPA
I have enjoyed Laura’s wisdom and insights for years now. You have changed how I interact with the world for the better. I just tried to vote in the British Podcast Awards for you but could not find your link. I’ll keep trying but thought you should know. Keep it up Laura! Your work is so valuable.

Just found - listening to all ! Amazing.
Just found Laura’s podcast after knowing her work. Lucky to be binging 150+ episodes. Love the focus on the victims, the insight, research and the championing of women’s safety. We all need to be in Laura’s tribe!

The expert who centres women
Laura knows her stuff, has made actual changes to UK policing and always puts victims (usually women) at the forefront. I find myself hearing her voice when reading or hearing other things in life which point to coercive control or other red flags. She’s a force for good.

Great podcast
Love getting Laura’s perspective, she really knows her stuff!

Amazing analysis of the Murdaugh Murders
Wow, what a very thorough and thought provoking analysis of this case. Laura your expertise is second to none and you explain things in such a way that makes it easy for the lay person to understand and analyse along with you. Absolutely brilliant!

A Truly Intelligent & Insightful Podcast
I follow many true crime podcasts and this one is my new favorite. I appreciate the analysis and the "why" behind the obvious (and most often reported) facts.

Must Listen!
I have learned so much listening to Laura Richards. She does not mince words, gets right to the heart of the matter with an expertise in domestic violence/coercive control that is crystal clear. The things she points out are easy to see once you hear it, it’s as if you’ve known these things all along, but she is giving a very articulate account you can absorb. She’s an expert worth putting in your ears. Anyone who cares about improving/preventing domestic violence & violence against women, this is a must listen.

NP
This is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. It is incredibly well-researched and well- presented. Laura is an absolute trailblazer, listening to her is truly inspirational. As a woman who is a survivor of domestic abuse and coercive control, as well as a trained specialist in the field, I find every episode to be akin to a continuing education course. I am blown away by Laura’s passion, advocacy, and incredibly nuanced understanding of the domestic abuse/ violence against girls and women epidemic. The fact that she so willingly shares her knowledge is a gift to us all- survivors, members of the professional community, and laypeople alike. Listen to just one or two episodes, and you’ll realize that there are very few among us who have not been impacted in one way or another.

Excellent
Really enjoy the insights here. Actually geared towards making societal changes, not just exploitation of the victims. Great job!

Exactly what I was looking for
Great podcast! Excellent work thought and research put into every episode. Very unique content and perspective- your hard work has not gone unnoticed!

Love this podcast
I absolutely love Laura’s insight and analysis. Her podcast has made me stop and think about the world so differently. Her intelligence and ability to podcast and teach is amazing. I am always looking forward to the next episode!

Important Podcast
Just started listening to this podcast a few days ago. Laura Richards is extremely professional, thorough and compassionate in her reportings. She has clearly done her research and opened my eyes to the way crimes against women and girls have been and often time still are disregarded/reported. Looking forward to many more episodes. Keep up the fight, Laura!

Amanda Knox truth
My dear Laura, I have enjoyed learning from you for years. You and of course, Jim snd Lisa. Thank you for sharing Amanda Knox Truth! She deserves to be heard. Kind regards, Marianne

Great Podcast!
It’s one thing to listen to a true crime podcast, but having the great opportunity to listen to an actual expert criminal profiler, who advocates for the most vulnerable victims or survivors in our society, is a real privilege. Thank you for such an interesting podcast! We can all learn from it and help make the world a safer place. We need you in Mexico!

Sets the bar high
I really appreciate Laura’s expertise and sensitivity as she unpacks these cases. I’ve been listening since the beginning and have learned so much. One of my favourite podcasts! Thank you for sharing.

Top analysis and advocacy for change
The way Laura unequivocally advocates for women and girls within the epidemic of violence against them whilst using her expertise as a crime analyst is refreshing and much needed.

Everyone needs to listen to this podcast
What an education this podcast has been. Most women experience various degrees of coercive control in their lifetime. Dr. Richards has give us the words to help us turn our confusion into wisdom.

Coercive and other physical rewards
Listen to help yourself and others I have heard a lot from others that they thought it was normal between family while growing up. Relearn here so you can know the truth.

Stand-out podcast expertly researched
Laura’s years of experience as a criminal analyst working at New Scotland Yard and alongside the FBI sets this podcast apart. Laura’s expert analysis and the time taken to fully research each episode is clearly Each case is told with a focus on the victims. The insights into often ignored factors such as coercive-control has educated this listener and hopefully others too.

Thank you
The quality of this podcast has been outstanding. Interesting format at all times. Your expertise shines through and I’ve learned so much about coercive control, himpathy, patriarchy and misogyny that I can take forward in all areas of my life. Analysing the crime with the victim as central has showcased the awful lives so many women live with and hide daily and I’d love to see a world where women can live safely and in comfort. This podcast helps achieve this. I’ve listened to cases i’d never heard about in my patch of the world (Australia) and wish that all states here hear your words and make necessary changes. Thank you Laura for your thoughts, efforts, guidance, wisdoms, expertise. So there’s that.

Remarkable
Laura is a remarkable woman with a wealth of knowledge that comes from real life crime analysis. Laura is a no-nonsense advocate for victims of crime and domestic abuse. I’m in awe of her, and you will be too! I highly recommend this podcast. Thank you Laura.

Very Informative
Your show motivates me to take action on the injustices I see. It also helps me to remove blinders to some of injustices and biases I experience everyday as a woman.

This show should be required in High Schools
I could listen to Laura read an inventory report or recipe as I love her accent. More importantly she is an advocate for women and is educating the public one episode at a time. If every teenage girl and boy could learn from her message, many crimes would be prevented.

Excellent
Coercive control is something we need to educate many about. Outstanding podcast and she does an amazing deep dive and she exposes all the details so you understand the entire picture. Great work!

Go beyond True Crime to Real Crime Analysis
Taking forensic, psychological, social and behavioural analysis to the next level, Laura, an expert with decades of experience will, with needlepoint precision, lead you through the micro and macro timelines and environments surrounding crimes, ensuring the journey both honours and respects those affected with her victim-centred and led approach. She takes you with her on her thought processes and decisions with extensive research and evidence substantiating her analysis at every turn. Anyone with an interest in seeing vindication for the victims and a deeper understanding of the relentless pursuit of truth and justice from a forensic behavioural expert need look no further. Sheer brilliance.

I learn so much from Laura!
I love Laura’s insights and knowledge. Accent helps as well 🙂

Crime podcasts are powerful vehicles
I came of age in the 1970s, and am amazed that crime podcasts are powerful vehicles across borders for legal information, activism, guidance and community in the drive to overcome violent harms of patriarchy.

The Murdaugh murders
I have to say that you can’t say that murder is the worst thing and that drug addicts who don’t murder are not disastrous to families. Drug addiction is incredibly toxic and is like a murder, only it is disenfranchised if no one “dies”. Crime against family and children is a nightmare even if murder is not committed. And this is what Alex Murdaugh did BEFORE he murdered. And the other people who died around him are lost forever. The girl on the boat and the boy on the road and the housekeeper. It’s a nightmare that was happening for years prior. Drug addiction kills souls without bodies. ….
